Capillary Technologies Raises $15.5 Million in Series A Funding

Bangalore: Capillary Technologies, a cloud based social CRM company announced that it raised $15.5 million in its series A round of funding from Sequoia Capital and Norwest Venture Partners. The company’s existing investor Qualcomm Ventures also participated in the funding program reports techcrunch.com

Capillary Technologies was founded by Aneesh Reddy, Krishna Mehra and Ajay Modani.  The company offers cloud based platform for customer engagement, loyalty and Social CRM solutions. It has  some major players like Puma, United Colours of Benetton, Nike, Pizza Hut, Mothercare and Sunglass hut as its clients.“Trying to engage with customers is a difficult thing, the existing mechanisms to capture customer data and interact with customers through plastic cards, and all these things, are very sub-optimal. Most systems, even punch cards, don’t really capture a lot of quality customer data. That’s something we solve very well,” explained Krishna Mehra, Co founder and President of Capillary Technologies.

This funding will be utilized by Capillary Technologies to focus on its development in the U.S. market where it is currently working with few undisclosed brands and conducting trials. The company will focus on product development, improving the deep integration between CRM systems, social profiles of consumers and “also on mobile platforms”. These enhancements would allow brands to promote, share and reward their customers across various platforms in just one-click.
