In 2013 MIT graduate Sidhant Pai started Protoprint in order to provide a better life to the waste pickers in Pune. It’s an innovative solution to transform plastic waste into raw material for 3D printers make a difference. The Pune-based startup, the first of its kind in India, has tied up with rag pickers who bring in waste they collect from various parts of the city to a site run by Protoprint.

At the site, the plastic materials are segregated and fed into the FlakerBot. From there, the shredded plastic moves to the RefilBot, this converts it into filaments that are used as raw material to print objects in a 3D printer.

Let's Recycle

"Let's Recycle" is an initiative of NEPRA Resource Management Pvt. Ltd., a social enterprise that operates in segment of Dry Waste Management & Recycling. It collects dry waste from waste generators, segregates the recyclables and sends them to authorized recyclers. The services are designed, customized and scheduled as per requirements of waste-pickers, society cleaners, building care takers, malls, residential societies, commercial establishments or any other type of waste generator.
