8 Amazing Startups that Launched in 2014

#4.Ello

Ello is a social networking service created by Paul Budnitz and Todd Berger in March 2014. It was created as an ad-free alternative to existing social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter. Ello is free to use, every post you share, every friend you make and every link you follow is tracked, recorded and converted into data. To join Ello, you need to know someone that is already on the network.

#5.Shortcut

Shortcut is a new app that will send a barber to your home, office, or hotel rooms. You can fix an appointment any day of the week or weekend from 8 a.m. to midnight. Once you give the app your details and location, Shortcut lets you choose if you want just a haircut or a haircut and beard trim as well. After requesting a haircut, the Shortcut team will send a barber to your location, which takes 30 minutes or less. Haircuts start at $75, but first-time users get 20 percent off automatically just by creating a profile. For now, Shortcut is only available in New York City and soon they are planning to extend to more cities.
