Jeff Lawson- Twilio
Jeff Lawson was one of the first production managers in Amazon web services. He cofounded Twilio in 2008, which is an SMS messaging app. The company has earned $1 billion valuation by raising its fund. International companies like Uber, SmartThings and OpenTable use Twilio to send SMS to their customers. Jeff states that the company can be considered as the communication version of Amazon web services.
Mike Hanlon- Abett
Mike Hanlon was the seventh employee of Amazon. The Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos once helped Hanlon’s girlfriend sign NDA before she joined an early warehouse. He recently quit Amazon to find his own company ‘Abett’. This uses data to help one to make stressful decisions. The company’s first product identifies clothes in the user’s wardrobe.
