Headquartered in Noida, India, RateGain was founded in 2004 by Bhanu Chopra, and has offices in the UK, U.S., Turkey, Spain, the UAE, and Thailand. They started with just a hundred thousand dollars and within years built it to a multi-million dollar company.

RateGain is a leader in hospitality and travel technology solutions for revenue management decision support, rate intelligence, seamless electronic distribution and brand engagement helping customers around the world to simplify their operations and sales.

The company’s global customer base includes leading travel suppliers and intermediaries including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, car rental companies, online travel agents, tour operators and wholesalers.

#5.Kayako: customer service tools for businesses

Kayako was established in 2001 by Varun Shoor, in Jalandhar, Punjab. Shoor learned to program when he was 13 years old, and dropped out of college to work on Kayako at the age of 17.

Shoor used to be part of online coding communities, where he came across company selling customer support software for U.S.$2,000 and felt he could do something better. Kayako provides customer support software.

Till date the company has not received any funding from outside investors and is profitable. In August 2009, Kayako announced the availability of cost-free full licenses for charities and open-source software projects. So far, it has donated software worth U.S.$100,000 to different causes.
