Ramashish Ray: At 42 years old, working professional for over two decades, Ramashish Ray left India in 2005 to work with Nokia in Singapore and Finland. Later on he returned to India to join Samsung India. Recently he has decided to turn into an Entrepreneur and thus is shifting to Singapore.

In between these, he is soliciting into his corporate network to pivot two startups which are now under development and Ray wants uncovered for now. On other hand, for research and development work, he is partnering with the ex-colleagues in Finland. With a base like Singapore, Ray is thinking of grabbing some contract manufacturing in China.

India is always kept in mind while he is thinking of the wearable devices, with safety as their focus. They will also be relevant to other markets like Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. While working abroad he got the big picture and learnt the strategies required, it was during his job in India, when the idea hit his mind and rose his confidence that he could deal with scale, speed and chaos.

Anu Duggal: At the age of 35 Anu Duggal is the founder of Female Founders Fund. In India she first started business with a venture called The Tasting Room in 2005 for a year. But however, she had to deal with eratic powers, water supply and getting business permits. She is now based in New York and says that she had to face a lot problems from corruption to infrastructure. Duggal further adds, “The grind in India teaches you the art of perseverance. You learn to keep going despite the odds. It is here you figure if plan A does not work, plan B will.
