At the close of 2014, MetaMind had made its presence known with $8 million in funding from Salesforce's Marc Benioff and Khosla Ventures. Its technology works like a recursive neural system that runs company’s deep learning capabilities that comprise image classification and sentiment analysis.
The image classification is a drag and drop tool that permits users to upload the image while MetaMind assists them in stating what the subject of the image is. Furthermore, the tool also carries out sentiment analysis such as labeling the language as neutral, positive or negative.
