Leander Paes is the Indian Tennis legend who at the age of 42 still continues to dominate the Doubles and mixed doubles games. Recently with Martina Hingis, he once again lifted a grand slam trophy in the U.S. open final. His 24 year and still counting career has been a glorious one for the country.

He has won a bronze medal in the singles event in 1996 Olympics and has also won 8 doubles and 9 mixed doubles grand slam titles. He has always been the hero of the country in the Davis cup tournaments. He is a truly inspiring example for the youngsters who want to pursue tennis as a career.

The Indian queen of Tennis courts, Sania Mirza has set a great example for all those girls in the country who aspire to become great sportswomen. She is arguably the most celebrated Tennis player in the country who is currently at the top of the game with her doubles partner Martina Hingis. At the age of 28 she has almost achieved most of the major titles in her 6 grand slam wins.

She has also won a total of 14 medals (including 6 Gold) at the Asian Games, the Commonwealth Games and the Afro-Asian Games. She is the first one to talk about media partiality to the cricketers, she shut the religious groups complaining on her dress code on the field and married to a Pakistani and still continue to play for her country, a true example of determination.
