DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is a pattern of abusive behavior that keeps one partner in a position of power over the other partner through the use of fear, intimidation, and control. The categories include Physical abuse, Sexual abuse, Economic abuse, Emotional abuse, and Psychological abuse.
There are several steps that can be taken as prevention from these. But, are we the one who is causing it? Try controlling your anger; don’t live in a purpose to revenge. This Dussehra, let’s take the pledge to be kind and humble.
Moh – The Dowry system
There are certainly various ways that money can be demanded from a bride other than asking lump sum amount at the time of marriage. Sometimes, women have to go through hell to tortures and violence if she doesn’t comply with her husband’s of his family member’s demand.
To be on safer side, girl’s family can share part of their property which will assist women to stand strong in all adverse situations. Let’s not be as greedy as Ravana and say no to the rituals of asking big gifts in weddings.
