Pinjore Gardens or Yadavindra Gardens

Pinjore is situated at 22Km away from Chandigarh. It was built by the rulers of the Patiala dynasty by adopting the Mughal garden theme. This 17th-century garden has a well-built architecture, which is distributed in seven terraces having fountains and grand pavilions. The palace at first terrace has a Shish Mahal and Hawa Mahal built on Rajasthani and Mughal based styles.

The second terrace has a Rang Mahal with arched doorways. The third terrace has flower beds, cypress trees and dense groves of fruit trees. The fourth terrace has a Jal Mahal with a square fountain bed. The sixth terrace has tree groves and fountains and the last one has an open-air theater, designed in the form of a disc. There is a mini zoo, a Japanese garden, nursery, and other historic places within the Pinjore Garden.
