Here’s another new entrant into the compact SUV segment which shares the substructures of the larger XUV500 but is sub 4-metres in length. The Mahindra’s S101 is likely to use a 3-cylinder, 1.5 litre diesel engine from the Quanto, churning out 100PS of power.

The SUV is also expected to come with an option of a 1.2 litre petrol engine that’s been in the works from Mahindra. The S101 is expected to come with a range seating options, but as a five-seater it promises good space on the inside and is expected to give good competition to the Ford Eco Sport.

# Honda Jazz

The Honda Jazz is surely on the list of cars which people would love to buy. The Jazz offers petrol and diesel engine options, with the new 1.5 litre diesel engine offering 100 PS of power that does duty on the Amaze and the Brio. Considering the demand for the hatchbacks in the market, if it is priced right, the Honda Jazz would easily lead all the others on the segment.
