India-Bound Volkswagen Tiguan Unveiled: All The Details

Engine Specifications

Although VW haven't released engine details, it is said that the lineup will feature four petrol and four diesel engines, all of which will have turbocharging, direct injection, a stop-start system and battery regeneration as standard which is an impressive move by the German car maker.

Power outputs are between 125 PS and 240PS depending on the variants offered and we expect a 2.0-litre diesel mill with around 150PS to make its way into the India market in 2016. Also the company claims that the new lineup is up to 24 percent more fuel efficient than the outgoing model. Although the FWD system stays standard in base variants, a 4MOTION AWD system will be offered in higher variants but it’s not yet confirmed for the Indian market as of now.
