Incredible India: 10 Unusual Temples You Won't Believe Existed

3) Chinese kali Temple, Kolkata, West Bengal

The granite wall temple was built 12 years ago. The Prasad serve at this temple include noodles, chopsuey, rice and vegetable dishes. The site is 60 years old.  It is located in a Chinese majority Tangra area–India’s own Chinatown.

In older days, it was a couple of sindoor-smeared black stones under an old tree. The story goes that a 10-year-old boy of the Chinese community was once very ill. Even doctors could not cure him. His parents had lost hope and lay him down near the tree and prayed for several nights. A miracle happened. The boy got well, and the site became special for all of the Chinese people living in that area.

4) Sachin Tendulkar Temple, Bihar

In India, Sachin Tendulkar is addressed as the god of cricket by his fans but a village in southwestern Bihar has already started worshipping him by installing a 5.5 feet statue, which weighs 850 kg. Installed on a 10-feet high brick platform, the white marble statue also wears the official blue jersey of the Indian national cricket team.
