At a drop of 253m it is the second highest waterfall in India. Located near Sagara Taluk in Karnataka, it is ranked 13th in the world in the waterfall database. It originates from the Sharavathi River in four distinct falls which are named Raja, Rani, Rover and Rocket. It is advisable to pack your own food while visiting the falls as there are hardly any eateries nearby. The best time to visit the Jog falls is between September and December.
