The Dudhsagar falls is situated in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats, at the border of Karnataka and Goa. It is located over the Madovi river. The waterfall looks like streams of milk pouring down the mountainside and hence the name. Near the top of the falls, the railway line from Vasco to Londa crosses the mountainside, with excellent views from the train.
