Husainabad Clock Tower

A stand in India structure built out to mark the arrival of Sir George Couper, 1st Lieutenant Governor of United Province of Avadh. This memorial designed by Roskell Payne, built by Nawab Nasir-ud-din Haider, was constructed in 1881 with an expenditure of Rs 1.75 lakh.

With a gigantic pendulum hanging 14ft in length, a total structure standing 219ft.

Flaunting a mix of Victorian and Gothic style, staring it’s resemblance in the lake lying next to Rumi Darwaza.

It is famous for its flower petalled clock, bells and gunmetal going into work for its dials.

Secunderabad Clock Tower

A Victorian column built in the honour of British officers in consummeration to their progress, commisioned at Secunderabad Cantonment in Hyderabad.

The tower was inaugrated by Resident Sir Trevor John Chichele Plowden on 1 February 1897.

The tower which on plan was to get demolished to accomadate the city traffic, got lucky and went into renovation, completed in 2005 inaugrated a year later in 2006 by then Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy.
