China spent nearly 400 Mn US dollars and over a decade to renovate its National Museum into a monument that is behind no other in sheer grandeur and magnificence. The museum is one of the biggest in the world stretched across 65,000 sq. m.  and covers the entire history of China from the Yuanmou Man of 1.7 million years ago to the end of the Qing Dynasty. The museum houses the "Simuwu Ding" from the Shang Dynasty, a large and rare inscribed Western Zhou Dynasty bronze water pan, Han Dynasty jade burial suits sewn with gold thread, Song Dynasty ceramics and others.
