A Tour to the Ancient Indian Cities


Kalibangan, Rajasthan:

Kalibangan was an important provincial capital of the Indus Valley Civilization. The site excavation started in 1969 at a small town located in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. The excavation revealed that the oldest ploughed field was found which dated back to 2800 BCE.

Lothal and Dholavira, Gujarat:

Giving a glimpse of the ancient Harappan Civilization, Lothal and Dholavira is a legendary city built with precise engineering. Carbon dating results show that the city of Lothal dates back to 5000 years. Whereas, Dholavira got its name imprinted in the history on 2650 BCE, it was also the fifth largest Harappan site.
