1. Noodles

Made from unleavened dough, Noodles are a staple food especially among the East Asian regions. Noodles are generally long and in thin strips, but many varieties of noodles are cut into waves, helices, tubes, strings, or shells, or folded over, or cut into other shapes. Noodles are usually cooked in boiling water, sometimes with cooking oil or salt . Made from wheat or rice flour, they can be cooked steamed or stir fried.  The popular types of noodles include chowmein, Singapore rice noodles, Hakka noodles, Szechuan noodles, and Dandan noodles.
