The Next-Gen Nissan Micra To Hit The Headlines


BENGALURU: One of the most anticipated cars from Nissan, the 5th generation Nissan Micra will be unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show this September. The currently available 4th generation Nissan Micra has been there in the market since 2010 and is awaiting its evolution. The Renault-Nissan Alliance recently announced that the next-gen Nissan Micra will enter production by the end of this year while the 2017 Nissan Micra will be manufactured at the Renault plant located in Flins, near Paris. The fifth generation Nissan Micra will be the first Renault-Nissan Alliance model to be based on the CMF-B version of the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF (Common Modular Family) platform. The design will be profoundly inspired by the new Nissan Sway Concept introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, making the machine much bigger in size.

Following the current Micra versions, the new 5th generation Micra will also be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The new variant is also expected to be available with engine displacements ranging from 0.9 to 1.6 liter with TCe turbocharged three-cylinder unit for instance.
