Agonda beach, Goa:

Located in the south-western coast of India, Goa is known for its beaches, churches and world heritage architectures. Among many distinct beaches, Agonda beach located in South Canacona Taluka of South Goa known as ‘the Silent Beach’ owes to its tranquil surroundings situated 37km away from Margoa. The beach is about 3 km long. The bay of white sand surrounded by casuarinas and palm trees makes the place pretty. Though swimming is not encouraged, it offers activities like trekking, hiking, canoeing, fishing and boating. The beach which acts as the home for the endangered Olive Ridley turtles is protected under the National Sea Turtle Conservation Project. The best time to visit the beach is between November and February. The beach is easily accessible as it is well connected to other destinations in Goa.
