International Day for Elders by 'Wonderful World'


BANGALORE: ‘Wonderful World’, an organization started by Karen and Samantha in memory of their late father Cedric Pinto (who passed away last year) has been relentlessly working towards brightening the faces of  many senior citizens on several occasions.

In light of the occasion that annually marks the International Day of Older Persons on October 1, an event by the humanitarian sisters, along with Event Management company 'Pixie' and sponsors from Legacy – Builders have organized the “International Day for Elders” at Chancery Pavilion hotel in Bangalore to entertain the age old people.

Elders from different old age homes were invited for this distinguished event to bring out the message “Age Sets No Barriers for Living Happily”. The event  comprised of dance performances from Dance troupe-5678, Live band performed by Sham & the Westwind, Makeover for the elderly women taken over by Saloon Magic-Mirror, housie game, kids performances and recitals followed by dance and finally lunch. The exciting day also commemorated a birthday cake for a senior elderly man who had turned 102 on this remarkable day.
