The company is named after the family name of Don Facundo. The interesting fact here though is about the logo. Why did Bacardi use a bat as their logo? Well, the reason for the symbol goes to his wife Dona Amalia Bacardi, who one day saw fruit bats in the distillery.

She took as good luck and insisted that they be made the symbol of the family’s company. A true example of how wives can just get men to do what they want. Well, thanks to her, Bacardi is growing in popularity with operations in four continents and markets in over 150 countries.

Wild Turkey Bourbon: Wild Turkey was founded by the Austin Nicholas division of the Campari Group. However, the real boost for the company’s fame was witnessed when executive Thomas McCarthy, took some of the distilled bottles with him while going for turkey hunting in South Carolina.
