In the attempt to portray the gag of Bollywood, director Anupam Chopra could not continue to hold the genre of comic till the end of the film. It shows two young men Dulal and Mainak trying their luck in the city of Mumbai to sell their scripts for films like  “a mix of LSD and Hukumat with shades of Dev D and costumes like that of Gadar.” So, aspiring film makers, writers or the ones in love with Bollywood check this film, having Akshay Kumar spoofing himself. The Indian drama also unfolds the love of a rigid father, so authoritative that he insists to be called ‘Sir’ by his own son. The emphatic script, the stand up cast and the pragmatic plot contested at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival in A Certain Glance category. Udaan bagged 7 awards at the 56th Filmfare Awards, 2011. Critics also appreciated the music by Amit Trivedi in this prudent film.
