10 Cool SUVs and Cars Ready To Launch This Festive Season

Nissan X-Trail

Expected Launch: Early December

The existing 2014 X-Trail gets a major revamp in its third generation guise and one of the key issues of not having a third row of seats has now been taken care of. It gets an option of a 1.6-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre diesel motor internationally.

It gets Active Ride Control which scans the road that lies ahead and adjusts the suspension of the car accordingly and this will surely help the off road trips. It will be available in 2-wheel drive as well as 4-wheel drive versions. The new X-Trail is expected to be shipped completely built unit (CBU) just like the earlier versions by that the expected price of this luxury SUV will be above 30 lakhs.

Maruti Suzuki YRA Premium Hatchback

Expected Launch: End of December

The YRA is Maruti Suzuki’s answer to the premium hatchback segment that is growing rapidly in India. With the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, the Fiat Punto 90HP, the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI/TDI and the newly launched Honda Jazz as its competitors.

The Maruti Suzuki YRA is sure to do well in India considering the fact that it will be both bigger than the Swift and offers more gizmos than the Swift. The YRA will be powered by both petrol and diesel engines. We expect the car to get the same 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel that does duty in the current Swift.
