10 Cool SUVs and Cars Ready To Launch This Festive Season

Chevrolet Trailblazer

Launch Date: October

SUVs from GM have never been the real choice among Indian buyers but the Trailblazer certainly looks a promising prospect. Although the Captive has had a fair run in the Indian market it’s not managed to get the better of its rivals due to expensive after-sales service and limited showrooms.

While Captiva is the quickest sub-30 lakh rupees SUV, the Trailblazer is set to come out all guns blazing to be the most torque engine in this segment. The SUV will be powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that will churn out 180bhp and 470Nm of torque. The company will also offer the vehicle with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Renault Kwid

Expected Launch: September

Renault is currently one of the mass-market budget cars in the Indian market. Renault has unveiled a hatchback-based crossover called the KWID. The Renault KWID is similar to the Datsun GO except its body, flared wheel arches and a forward leaning stance giving it a muscular appearance.

It is the first car in the Indian market to debut the French automaker’s honeycomb grille and new headlight design. It gets a fully digital instrumental cluster, Media-NAV infotainment system, front power windows and AC.
