Trains that will Change the Way of Travelling in India


Narendra Modi had promised to introduce bullet train in India during the election campaign and yes he worked on it. The construction of India’s first high-speed bullet train will start next year on Mumbai-Ahmadabad high-speed corridor. The bullet train will cover 508km of distance with a speed of 320kmph. Suresh Prabhu, Rail Minister promised that bullet trains will start functioning from 2023.

After the Bullet train, Indian government is taking one step further and planning for Maglev trains. The railway ministry of India has already taken the first initiative in the implementation of Maglev trains in India that can achieve a speed up to 500kmph. The Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) are instructed by Indian Railways for preparation of detailed project report within six months.
