Trains that will Change the Way of Travelling in India


BENGALURU: India with a total railway length of 1, 15,000 km holds third position in terms of the world’s longest railway network. Indian railways carry about 22Mn passengers daily, still we are lacking in advanced technologies, infrastructure and high speed railways. However, Government of India has started taking measures to introduce high speed railways in the country along with bullet trains. The central government is planning to improve infrastructure, so public transport can be better. The Economic Times reported a few projects on which government is working on to introduce in India.

Indian Railways are introducing super fast Talgo trains in the country to enhance the experience of train journey. Talgo is a light articulated train manufactured in Spain. The first trail run of Talgo was performed in May between Bareilly and Moradabad. The second trial was conducted on Palwal to Mathura route where it covered 84km within 38 minutes with a speed of 180kmph. Final trial was performed between Delhi and Mumbai and it clocked a maximum speed of 150kmph and completed the
