These Journalists Went Beyond Capabilities to Uncover Reality



Tim Lopes:

Tim Lopes, a Brazilian investigative journalist, impersonated himself and joined the weapon smugglers. While he was undercover, he secretly filmed the entire AK-47 weapon dealing but was eventually caught by the mafia and burnt to death. But his works played a major role in convicting the criminals.

Günter Wallraff:

Günter Wallraff, an undercover investigative journalist, who spent most of his career being an undercover agent. Wallraff’s first work was ‘13 unerwünschte Reportagen,’ which illustrated his undercover experience as an alcoholic, a homeless person, and a worker in a chemical factory.

Later in 1974, Wallraff spent 14 months of imprisoned life in the Greece for acting as a human rights activist and In 1986 he was awarded Laureate of the International Botev Prize for his exceptional contribution towards journalism.
