The Most Bizarre Projects At NASA

# Traveling Without Fuel

New space engines examined by NASA can create thrust without propelling fuel in the opposite direction. If you look at it from a normal perspective this engine will look like it violates the Newtons laws of motion and momentum conservation principle but still it appears to work.

The ‘Cannae Drive’ uses its distinguishing cone in alliance with the microwave radiation to propel itself across space. Instead of using fuel to boost itself along, its convex nose pushes the microwave-produced pressure away from itself, producing a tiny jerk.

Till now the energy generated is on the order of micro newtons which is quite slow. But it implies that NASA may eventually develop a whole new breed of engine that will eliminate fuel costs and make deep-space journeys a viable option.

# Mouse Astronauts

To know about the effects of prolonged exposure to microgravity, NASA is sending its most experimental astronauts into space. Dubbed as "mousetronauts" by billionaire space-man Elon Musk, the rodents have an average life expectancy of about two years making them one of the perfect animals to study the International Space Station.
