Yashwanthrao Chavan: Writer and Social activist Yashwantrao Chavan has come a long way in this race, presenting seven budgets in parliament all throughout his political career. Chavan, the fifth Prime Minister of India was  popularly known as the Leader of common man. He occupied the finance portfolio for almost four years and as well as defense portfolio in his political career. It is the legacy of the Finance Ministers to become the Prime Ministers of the nation.

Pranab Mukherjee: The current President of India played a significant role in the finance ministry, his contributions to the Indian economy will go down in history not to be forgotten. Pranab, as the Union Finance Minister for five years presented seven budgets in the parliament.

His contributions to the administrative reforms are vital to the economy. His famous Gadgil-Mukherjee formula of 1991 still holds value for resource sharing between Centre and the States.
