Most Searched Indian Politicians On Google In 2014

Rahul Gandhi:

The descendant of the most powerful political family of India - the Nehru Family, Rahul Gandhi is also one such political leader who has quite a number of fan-following on the social media. As such, he ranks no. 2 on Google.

Unlike PM Modi, this Gandhi scion is not at all tech savvy himself. Nor does he deploy new media as a medium to interact with the common men. Instead, he prefers face to face interaction with his people.

Congress Vice President ranks second even in google images perhaps for his good looks. As per the records, he is most widely searched for in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.

Arvind Kejriwal:

Aam Admi Party’s supremo Arvind Kejriwal received wide acknowledgment for his role as an RTI activist. As times goes by, it was social media that brings him to the zenith in politics as the Chief Minister of Delhi.

Kejriwal is now the 3rd most Googled Indian politicians. With the decline of his political career after the LS poll, his popularity graph in the new media also has shown a sharp decline. However, Kejriwal was even more popular than Narendra Modi last year.

Arvind Kejriwal is most followed in Haryana, followed by Karnataka, UP and Rajasthan.  But, He is not as popular as far as google images are concerned.

The anti-corruption movement and the efforts to impose the Lokpal Bill by Arvind Kejriwal turned out to be the major part of his social media mentions and conversation which are mostly appreciated.
