Ranked Alongside Archbishop Tutu:

He has been ranked among the top defends of humanity of all times. He was treated on par with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Elie Wessel, and Dalai Lama. Former President of United States, Bill Clinton honored Satyarthi for his unmatched contribution to humanity.

Satyarthi also won a host of prestigious awards. Most notable of them being the Defenders of Democracy award (U.S.), Medal of the Italian Senate, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung award (Germany), and the Alfonso Comin International Award (Spain) to name a few.

He is also committed towards rescuing women from enslavement in filthy factories with deplorable conditions and sexual assault.

Analytical Thinker:

Being an analytical thinker, he succeeded in propounding the issue of child labor, as a human rights issue instead of identifying it as a matter of welfare matter or charity. He has propagated that child labor is responsible for the perpetuation of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, population explosion and many other social evils. He has also played an important role in linking the fight against child labor with the efforts for achieving ‘Education for All.’

He identified child abuse as a global issue and alarmed the world about the dangerous consequences of child labor. Accordingly, he addressed the issue in some of the biggest worldwide congregations. In 1998, Satyarthi led a global march against child labor that wound through more than 60 countries around the world.
