India's 'Fantastic Four' in Time's 100 Most Influential People



Satya Nadella—‘A Turnaround Artist’

Indian-origin, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is on the Time 100 list as one of the 'Titans'. Box CEO Aaron Levie, credits him with, "driving openness where Microsoft was once closed, even when it has meant supporting competing services in the process. Changes that once would have been considered blasphemous –releasing open-source software, building on iOS and Android and even making Windows free in some cases – are turning Microsoft around."

Vikram Patel—‘Well-being Warrior’

Vikram Patel is a Goa-based gifted psychiatrist and Professor of International Mental Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a dedicated researcher who has been advocating for an integrated national health system in India. He is known as the pioneer in this field. Patel gave a rethinking towards mental health and care. Citing that in the developing nations close to 90percent of mentally ill patients do not receive appropriate care he outlines a highly promising approach by training members of communities to give mental health interventions, empowering ordinary people to care for others.
