Though the team made it to the headlines, it went unnoticed in a short span as it was overpowered by the cricket mania.

The badminton international governing body declared Saina’s top spot after she took over the reins of China’s Li Xuerui. She has also clinched the Indian Open Super Series title in March 2015.
