These Indian Politicians Are No. 1 Target of Terrorists

BANGALORE: The “threat perception” to Indian political leaders is very high. Recently, the Intelligence Bureau has drawn out a fresh list that names the top politicians in India who are under the scanner of terrorists.

As per the report, these political big-wigs face threats from Naxalites, Indian Mujahideen, Babbar Khalsa International and the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. Read on to know such politicos who top the terror hit-list, as compiled by Rediff.

Narendra Modi:

The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi tops the terrorist hit-list. Some of the terror outfit has issued a direct threat stating that he will be killed once he becomes the Prime Minister of India.

Homegrown terror outfits like the Indian Mujahideen and the banned Students Islamic Movement of India emerges as the biggest threat to the PM.

An intelligence official said, “They would instead rely on an Indian-based outfit to carry out the job but would provide all the necessary financial help for such an operation,” reports Rediff.

Narendra Modi, whose rally at Patna on October 27 last year was rocked by bomb blast killing eight people.

“But they still have their plans afloat and would attempt to attack him even if it meant using a human bomb,” the IB added.
