Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor:

Also known as Bangalore-Mysore Expressway, the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor is 111 km long proposed 4 to 6 lane private tolled expressway that intends to connect the two important cities of Bengaluru and Mysore in the state of Karnataka.

This is being constructed by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises chaired by Ashok Kheny on Build-Own-Operate-Transfer basis. The four-lane, 111km concrete expressway is expected to cut driving time between the two cities from the present four hours to 90 minutes.

It is important to note that the project generated many controversies centered around land acquisition including the quantum of land, number of places for land acquisition, number of families affected, and the compensation package.

As per the source, the project may be handled by the Centre as land acquisition may be easy and the project can complete on the allotted period.
