Teacher's Day Special: Best NGOs in India Providing Education Equality

BANGALORE: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” NGOs in India are working on the lines of this famous adage by extending a great job in helping out the underprivileged kids with education and to bring about social change.

‘Child rights and you’ (Cry):

Established and started by Rippan Kapur in 1979, ‘Child rights and you’ or CRY is a non-profit organization in India that aims to restore children's rights in India.

It has undertaken many initiatives to improve the condition of underprivileged children. One among it is the ‘Chotte Kadam-Pragati ki Aur’ which is a literacy drive that has reached out to over 35000 children in 10 states of India.

Another very popular campaign from this organization is ‘Mission Education’ which believes that ‘education is every child’s right’ and gets more children every academic year.
