Teach For India:

A part of the Teach For All global movement, Teach For India (TFI) is an Indian non-profit organization that aims to narrow the educational gap and expand the educational opportunities available to thousands of underprivileged children.

With a goal to provide quality education to all, Teach For India presently works in 5 major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. It is well equipped with around 700 Fellows who are working towards eradicating the high inequality present in Indian education system.

Barefoot College-India:

Originally started by two friends Meghraj and Sanjit ‘Bunker’ Roy and established in 1972, The Social Work and Research Centre ("SWRC"), popularly known as Barefoot College is one such college where the entire campus runs on solar power and it is a college for the rural population of India.

It is a voluntary organization working in the fields of education, skill development, health, drinking water, women empowerment and electrification through solar power for the upliftment of rural people

Presently, they train local community people into teachers, specialized professionals in other fields and has initiated many educational facilities for children.

In the year 2013, the Barefoot College has also been ranked as the second best educational NGO by The Global Journal.
