Master Blaster Retires From ODI, Suprises Many

Bangalore: Indian cricket will not be the same without the Master Blaster; his retirement from ODI has created a hiatus. He will be missed by his team mates and mostly by his fans, who gather at every one day match to see the legend do magic on the field. Since Sachin announced his retirement from the ODI cricket career many of his contemporaries and cricket veterans spoke on how they feel about his decision and how much he will be remembered and missed from the cricket fraternity.

Sachin, after playing 463 one-dayers has a total accumulated runs of 18, 426 with 44.83 average. With an astounding 49 hundreds in the 50-over-a-side format, the right handed champ has scored double hundred which is one of the first in this form of the game.

Tendulkar decided to retire just before the home series against Pakistan. On this Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian captain and Sachin’s contemporary said, “I felt that he would play the series against Pakistan. But it is his decision and I think it is the right one.” Ganguly further added, “I don’t think there was any pressure of selectors on him. It is his own decision. No one can drop him,” as reported by IANS.
