India's MARCOS Among World's Best Special Forces

BENGALURU: Don’t we all love action movies in which our favorite actors portray the Special Forces soldier? We all do. All those movies which involve such elite military forces are smashing hits. It is these Elite Special Forces that showcase the extraordinary abilities of a country’s military might. Just as we see in many Hollywood movies, the nail-biting operations carried out by the ‘Real’ Special Forces around the world are quite heroic and fantastic.

One might not be able to rate the ‘Best’ Special Forces around the world, as it’s quite a task to pick the best as all of them are extra-ordinary. But if one has to list the best Special Forces, here they go. And yes, most of these groups work on some ‘highly-confidential’ operations therefore the general public is not aware of the existence of these forces.

10. MARCOS—INDIA

I bet most of the Indians themselves aren’t aware of the existence of MARCOS. Well, that is how secretly it functions in India. MARCOS or Marine Commando Forces is a special operations unit of the Indian Navy. What exactly do they do, is something beyond our average intelligence.

MARCOS is specially commissioned for conducting operations such as amphibious warfare, counter-terrorism, direct-action, hostage rescue, personal recovery and many such security operations. The commandos are specially trained and equipped to conduct operations in maritime environment. To be plain and precise, they are the ‘super heroes’ with special skills.
