9. GIS—Italy

Gruppo di Intervento Speciale, the GIS is the ‘Special’ wing of Italian Carbinieri Milatary Police. Just as fancy as it sounds, GIS is globally known for its sharp marksmanship. GIS is advanced force that carries air-borne special operation as part of the counter-terrorism activities.

Terrorism, which is still young and growing in Italy, is being targeted with appropriate strategies. The commandos are expected to be the best of the best, trained in martial arts, geography, piloting and everything you name. Super Heroes again!

8. EKO Cobra—Austria

There must be a reason why they come up with such names like ‘Cobra’. It is probably to assert emphasis on the dangerous activities these soldiers are involved with.

Einsatzkommando Cobra or EKO Cobra is Austria’s primary counter-terrorism special operations unit. These guys keep it low in spite of their high-speed involvement in the war on terror. Also the EKO Cobras are the best trained counter-terrorist units in the world.
