BANGALORE: The honesty and ethical standards of people in few field of profession is very low. They simply ignore ethical principles when making decisions and only care about their own comfort and happiness. They sometimes make mistakes and some even knowingly do unethical things.  In December 2013 and 2014, the Gallup conducted a poll asking Americans question about unethical professions. The survey respondents rated each profession on how unethical they were and Gallup ranked them by the percentages of people who felt they were low or very low on the immoral standards. Here is a list of The 9 Most unethical Professions, as compiled by The Richest.

#1.Auto Mechanics

Every year Consumers lose tons of money, due to unnecessary car repairs. Most repair shops are honest, however, undercover repair stings who take advantage of those who are not knowledgeable regarding car repairs. Average people do not know enough about auto mechanics to protect themselves. Dishonest mechanics charge customers for parts that weren’t used and some even charge customers for new, premium parts after installing old used car parts. It is not difficult for an unethical mechanic to convince car owners that unneeded repairs are necessary.

#2.Local Office Holders

Many politicians, mayors, council members, and commissioners are often involved in scandals. The late Washington D.C. mayor Marion Barry, and Toronto’s mayor Rob Ford, was videotaped smoking crack cocaine and arrested by Federal Bureau of Investigation officials on drug charges. After his arrest and through his trial, Barry continued as mayor. In 2013 Mayor of Toronto, Robert Bruce Ford was charged of drunkenness, drinking and driving, and illegal drug use. Despite the scandal, Ford refused to resign.
