Our national capital is also the pollution capital of the world. According to a latest data available Delhi is the most polluted city in the world. Delhi’s ‘Yamuna’ is being polluted in such a way that the oxygen level in river reduced drastically from 7.5 milligrams per liter to 1.3 milligrams per liter by the time it passes through the city Similarly statistics on air pollution have also been alarming, immoderate number of vehicles and large number of construction works in and around city has resulted in increased particulate matters in the air.
