7 Reasons Why Indian Air Force Is Nation's Pride



Honoring the heroes:

The IAF as not only made us proud but also has never missed an opportunity to honor the legends of our country. In 2010 the cricket god Sachin Tendulkar was privileged with Honorary Group captain in IAF, furthermore, the current Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, was granted a sortie in a frontline fighter aircraft SU-30MKI.

The Garud Commando Force:

In 2004 the IAF formed The Garud Commando Force and The Counter Insurgency (COIN) Operations and Emergency unit to counter terrorism and to protect IAF airbases. These troops are also trained to conduct ‘search’ and ‘rescue operations’ and helps in disaster reliefs.
