7 Points That Define Manohar Parrikar's Political Career

Daring Statements:

Parrikar once said, “A terrorist coming to India should not expect human rights. If required we will neutralize terrorists with terrorists. Our army of 13 Lakhs is not to preach peace” which is rightly reflected in his actions in suppressing the militants of Myanmar.

Referring to India’s ambitious ‘Make in India’ project Parrikar made a rather humorous statement, “Lord Ganesha’s idol made in China has small eyes” by which he meant that we must no longer rely on Chinese goods.

 IIT Graduate:

Manohar Parrikar is the best suitable Defence Minister, India can have today. Not to mention the fact that he graduated from IIT Bombay and then chose politics over a prospective career. He became the Chief Minister of Goa in 2012 and hence he is the country’s first IIT graduate to become the CM and yes even before Arvind Kejiriwal.

Invited by PM Modi:

Parrikar successfully completed his term as the Chief Minister with a respectful image even among his rivals.  This ‘clean image’ advantage drew PM Modi’s attention too. Henceforth Parrikar was invited and was eventually made the Defence Minister and now we have the most dynamic leader in the cabinet.
