BANGALORE: Staggered parliamentary elections to decide who will get to govern India in the next five years already kick started on 7 April 2014. The nine-phase polling that will end in May 12 has brought out the biggest ever political face-offs in the Indian history. Here are the names of 7 strongest political fights as listed by MSN.

Narendra Modi (BJP) Vs Arvind Kejriwal (AAP) Vs Ajai Rai (Congress) in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh): Home to the Hinduims's ancient city, Varanasi district in Uttar Pradesh is the most watched contest in this general election. It is in this parliamentary constituency where the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and the rest will fight out for the seat.

Upcoming politicos Aam Admi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal too comes out as a candidate of this constituency. Mukhtar Ansari, of the Quami Ekta Dal, is expected to give Modi a strong fight as the constituency has a significant Muslim population. Ajay Rai, a legislator in the Uttar Pradesh assembly, will take on not only Modi, but also Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. This most interesting electoral battle will go for poll on May 12th.

Nandan Nilekani (Congress) Vs H N Ananth Kumar (BJP) Vs Nina Nayak (AAP) in Bangalore South (Karnataka): The Bangalore South parliamentary seat, which has remained under the BJP's possession for a long time now, will see an interesting fight this poll. Sitting MP Ananth Kumar, who has won here five times in a row, will be challenged by IT czar and co-founder of Infosys Nandan Nilekani, who is fighting on the Congress's ticket. Nina Nayak, an experienced child rights activist, is contesting on the ticket of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). These politicos will go for poll on 17 April.
