Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma, The Former King Of Travancore:

Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma was the former king of Travancore but he stepped down as a king and he decided to give away all his money in the name of the god at Padmanabhaswamy Temple. His wealth had always remain in limelight and a topic of controversies too as his wealth included rubies, diamonds, 18ft gold chains, golden bows and arrows.

Gold umbrellas, coins and diadems piled in six vaults under the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum, Travancore’s capital, were estimated as being worth £26 billion.  

The Scindias of Gwalior:

Scindia is a Maratha clan from Maharashtra. This clan included rulers of the Gwalior State which was a part of the Maratha Confederacy in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Scindias were wealthy enough and their treasure is known as Gangajali. Maharaja Jayajirao Scindia was unable to tell the secret code to his son MadhavRao Scindia before his death which led to his miserable life till the chamber was not found.

Ziauddin Tucy, Descendant Of Last Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar:

Living in anonymity in a lower middle class locality in Chanchalguda, Ziauddin Tucy,the sixth generation descendant of the last Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar struggles to make ends meet. Living in a rented house, Tucy still believes that the government would release properties of the erstwhile Mughals to the legal heirs.

At home, portraits of the Mughal emperor are his only possessions reflecting his royal lineage or also the stationary he uses with Mughals of Hindustan imprinted on them.
