5 Indians Who Are Yet To get Their Due Recognition


BENGALURU As the country is now discussing about Modi’s trip to ‘Down Under’. It is now time to talk about people who matter and those who work in the nation’s interest. We are often ignorant about the people who dedicate their lives for betterment of the nation. But we very well remember celebrities who plant a tree once in a year. It is our duty to acknowledge everyone who contribute to the cause of the nation.

Many of us were oblivious about Kailash Satyarthi and his organization until he was awarded a Nobel Prize. There are many other Indians who are “yet to get their due,” says Rakesh Jha of India TV who made an effort to spread awareness about these five Indians who deserve applause and more recognition.

Bindeshwar Pathak:

Brindeshwar PathakHe is the one who started ‘Swachch Bharat’ 44 years ago. Modi being the Prime Minister has initiated this program now, whereas Bindeshwar began his movement for a cleaner India as a common man. Deeply moved by the plight of human scavengers, in his early years, Pathak began a campaign against this menace. In 1970 he founded ‘Sulabh International’ to work towards promoting human rights, environmental sanitation, non-conventional sources of energy, waste management, and social reforms through education. He is considered as one of the pioneers in social reform especially in the field of sanitation and hygiene.
