Softball was introduced to India in 1944 and it is governed by the Softball Association of India. The national team for Softball have been participating the competitions held all over the world and this game sport is recognized by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).
Water Polo
Water polo in India is administered by the Swimming Federation of India. India's best performance was when they won gold at the 1951 Asian Games. The India men's national water polo team also won a silver medal at the 1970 Asian Games.
